Completed Acts of Kindness
- Oliver and I wrote thank you notes to his school and the urgent care to show appreciation for everyone taking such good care of him when he needed staples in his scalp after an accident at school.
- We put our elderly neighbor's trash in and out and we take her mail to her when we get ours.
- My grandpa doesn't drive anymore, so I get his groceries and prescriptions for him cheerfully.
- We shared blueberries we picked with our elderly neighbor, a Lowes delivery man delivering items a few houses down, several friends, and in a dessert at a dinner party.
- I picked up and threw away french fries a toddler dropped at Barnes and Noble so his dad didn't have to do it.
- I overtipped a Waffle House waitress abd the greeter who said he was going through a hard time.

- We take our own containers for leftovers in restaurants as an act of kindness towards the Earth.
- Played a board game with the boys that we bought along with toys for kids at Milk and Honey.
- Shared dried mango and crackers with chiefs at summer camp.
- Complimented hostess's beautiful, natural hair at restaurant.
- The boys and I helped our wheelchair-bound neighbor with a package thag had been delivered and left in the rain blocking her front door.
- Treated my sons and co-teacher at camp to smoothies.
- Took extra time to listen to kids at summer camp one at a time
- Wished the many wonderful men in my life Happy Father's Day, some weren't related to me and others didn't have biological children of their own, but are all fabulous role models.
- Treated myself to homemade marinara while I made healthy dishes to share with friends at a get-together.
- Took Gatorades in a cooler to hand out on a hot day. Left 2 along the bike path with a note for the backpackers we drove past. We had one left a couple days later and gave it to the mail carrier with a piece of chocolate.

- While my son mowed our elderly neighbor's lawn, I pulled weeds and vines from her shrubs.
- I took my sons and 2 of their friends to protest the immigration practices, speaking up for those who can't speak up for themselves.
- 5 days of kindness everywhere at CLUMC VBS 2018! I got to be a section leader, loving on both crew leaders and campers alike all week! What a lovely time!
- I knocked on a neighbor's door to let him know his fog lights were on on his work truck. I almost didn't because it was 10 o'clock at night, he might be coming back out, etc. I almost talked myself out of helping someone!
- My sons and I have been more conscious of trash around and we've thrown a lot away.
- We painted rocks with positive messages a couple of times and left them around town.
- My sons and I took a casserole and dessert to my grandpa's house and watched a movie with him while the casserole cooked.
- We wrote letters to our sponsored children and the boys drew pictures for the children.
- I take plastics bags out of the bins at Publix to reuse. I already use my own reusable shopping bags, so Grandpa and I don't end up with bags to use for our trash cans.
- I donated blood, reaching my 2 gallon milestone!
- I used the Bealls gift card I received by donating blood to buy underwear for the underprivileged children at Milk and Honey. I also donated like-new underwear that the boys had outgrown before wearing them.
- I bought the meal for the car behind me in the Chic Fil A drive thru.
- Traded dogs with a friend for a few days so her dog could rest and heal a leg injury away from their other puppy.
- Took stevia leaves and cold lavender cloths to share with my softball team during and after one of our games. Then I made more to keep in our freezer for after mowing and gave some to Anna and Bill.
- Shared dried mango with chiefs and campers during 2nd week at FAD camp.
- Offered to take a picture of a couple at the museum and ended up having a great conversation with them.
- I bought my co-teacher lunch during camp.
- I gave a belated Christmas bonus to someone who really deserved it at a time I didn't have it to give.
- My sons have been extra attentive to hold doors, pick up trash, etc. because of this project. I'm a proud mama!
- I helped my Grandpa buy new pants and a belt.
- I took our Mexican youth ambassadors and their friends to the mall.

- Sent pizza to the local firefighters.
- Shared treats and homemade orange creamsicles with chiefs at camp to show my appreciation of them.
- I shared Gatorade with the lawn maintenance crew at the church when the morning I hosted a couple prayer labyrinth meditation sessions. I also invited them to try the labyrinth after work.
- Mindfully look around your house for things you don't need and donate or give to someone specific who needs and would appreciate the item(s). For example, I have an extra bag of lawn fertilizer I plan to put on my elderly neighbor's lawn (we mow it, so no problems created!).
- Print/hand write positive/appreciative notes to give to firefighters, police men, etc.
- Help a new mom, elderly person, war veteran, lonely neighbor, etc. with groceries, yard work, etc.
- Donate extra sheets, blankets, towels to an animal shelter.
- Reach out to a long lost friend and tell them what you love about them.

- Leave positive messages on cardstock for people you know or don't know to find.
- Cut out coupons and leave them in the store near the items they apply to.
- Hide dollar bills with #40daysofkindness or a positive message on them (yes, it's legal).
- Give positive feedback in person and in online surveys because it's often only negative feedback left.
